Background
Academy for Strategic Analysis and Leadership (ASAL) is a professional consulting firm that works in research and development fields. ASAL provides technical consultancy and tailored training to both private and public sectors. ASAL has been officially registered in 2022 with its name as Academy for Strategic Analysis and Leadership. ASAL aims at contributing to the development trajectories in various sectors including service industry, business, SDGs (SDG4, SDG5, and SDG13) and public policy formulation. ASAL consulting recognizes itself as a professional body that stands to developing local talents, empowering women and organization through different levels of consultancies and professional development programs. ASAL came into existence in 2013 with name of Consulting, Research and Training Group (CRT). ASAL established its head quarter in Hargeisa, Somaliland and has affiliations with other institutions in East Africa including the academia. The academy is also specialized in the following areas:

2013
Founded as Center for Research & Training (CRT), focused on capacity building and knowledge sharing.
2014–2018
Expanded into leadership training, strategic consulting, and youth engagement programs.
2019–2021
Launched international Model UN/AU simulations and policy formulation workshops.
2022
Registered officially as ASAL, broadening services to innovation, IT, and SDGs work.
Today
